Wedding venue website redesign: how Chippenham Park increased traffic by 40%
A wedding venue with two separate websites, declining traffic, poor SEO performance, and navigation that was failing both garden visitors and wedding clients simultaneously. That was the challenge Chippenham Park came to me with.
The problem
The venue had grown to serve two quite different audiences: people visiting the gardens and couples planning their wedding. Two separate sites had grown up to serve them, and neither was working well. Traffic was falling. Both sites were hard to navigate. And because they were split, neither had enough content or authority to rank well in google and other search engines.
What I did
The solution was consolidation: rather than patching two underperforming sites, I merged the gardens and the weddings website redesigning them into a single, properly structured platform on Wix with MailChimp marketing integration, and rebuilt the user experience from the ground up.
The work included a full SEO audit and content migration with proper redirects, user research and analytics review to understand how visitors were actually using both sites, a new site architecture that served garden visitors and wedding clients through clearly separated but connected journeys, mobile-responsive design optimised for the search terms couples and garden visitors actually use, and ongoing SEO work after launch to continue growing organic traffic.
